Lost filling

Was just drinking a coffee, when I felt something lodged between my teeth. I got it out, and turns out it's a filling that had become dislodged. I only had the filling replaced about a month ago.

So my question is, before I speak to the dentist, do I have to pay to get it replaced, or am I entitled to get it replaced for free? After all, a filling shouldnt come dislodged after a month from merely drinking coffee.

You only drank coffee for a month ?????? Did you get any sleep. or get hungry ;) It probably came loose over time and only came out completely during the coffee drinking not due to the coffee drinking.

Your dentist will probably replace if for free or recommend another more durable restoration (crown, inlay, veneer etc. etc.) giving you the original filling price off. It happens from time to time, but most dentists are reasonable.
