Working for Ryanair as professional

    Hi all

Just wondering has anybody worked for Ryanair in a middle management capacity? I have just been offered a job with them. The salary is alot more than i expected with a performance bonus etc. I would have thought they paid alot less.

    My dilemma,

I am in a job at the moment that I find ok. I've been here a year now but I have a major problem with my managers. They are completely incompetent and have a developed a blame culture in the organisation. I am stressed every day wondering what will i be blamed for etc. Even though I have excelled in my previous jobs. I really get on well with my colleagues on my level though so that is why the job is ok and i'm in two minds. It is secure also.

Would I risk moving from my current job and simply be replacing one bad with another by moving to Ryanair? The other pro for Ryanair is it is beside where I live.max 10 min commute. At the moment my commute is 40 mins plus tolls

I'd really appreciate if anybody has any inside experience of the Ryanair culture or knows anybody that does?

    thanks in advance

Jesus, I understand this blame culture thing - these things rarely get better before they get worse... Make the move. Can it be worse than your current role?

My Brother worked there a few years ago and really liked it ,you have to work hard but that is the same in most successful company's in crowded fields like the Air industry.
40 mins and tolls vs 10 mins is huge
That equates to 31 working days and 2 grand gross a year

Hi Brenno1 I know a person that worked for Ryanair in a mgmt position while the $$$$ was good you realy worked for it,I also had something similar happen to me in mgmt were they just increased the work load that it was near impossible to get the work done.
Then they would be having meetings with you over you not hiting targets etc,Then again itea of the could depend what airline you work in.;) also you know that they dont offer car parking at the HQ.

thanks guys...god isnt it always harder to make a decision when you get older!
i suppose no job is perfect and i dont mind hard work. i suppose i value more competent colleagues, structure, support etc. that is more what id like out of ryanair.
