I keep hearing my text message tone when it's not going off. Really annoying!!! Anyone else ever experience this. Happens sometimes too with the doorbell and every now and then I think someone is calling my name.

Happens to me to. I take it out expecting a message but have to pretend to look at the time or something to save face

Yea I get that too where I think I feel it vibrate in my pocket.

I don't mean I hear people talking, telling me to kill my parents or anything

I'm beginning to hear voices myself, annoying voices from a certain quarter every now and again.

I also get a terrible itch in the toe of my boot, and a desire to drive it hard into some randomer's plumsack:rolleyes:

I don't believe that. It's obvious people make the text message noise themselves to make them look popular the sickening, cretinous losers.

Yeah sounds like the hallucinations are getting to you, thats the inevitable desent into madness for you. The only cure is to break into the RTE news at 6 and preform a dirty protest*.

Could be the McGurk effect, you are probably staring at the doorbell but you hear your phone and think its the doorbell... can really mess with your head!!

I read up more on this. Apparently 67% of people have experienced it.
It also said "next time you hear your phone ringing but there's no missed call to take a vacation". Cool.
