    Hey all.

So, I just went flying on the ice again this evening. At first I thought nothing of it even though I had ripped through my tights and given myself a little cut. Then I remembered that I have a wedding this Friday and was planning on wearing a mini-dress, bare legs.

I didn't give myself a very deep cut, but it is slightly more than a normal graze with one particular deepish bit. I've cleaned it with Dettol and am just waiting for the bleeding to stop and then I'm thinking Sudocrem and a plaster.

I really don't want to have a scab on my knee though for the weekend. Can anybody recommend anything that might avoid that? I'm wondering is Sudocrem and plaster the best way or should I leave it in the air.

    Thanks!!

Arnica will be really good for stopping bruising cos it could be a bruiser yet!!

I had a head injury that I needed to clear up as quickly as possible, savlon advanced healing gel applied twice a day and loads of fresh air did a reasonable job. stopped the worst of the scab. sudocrem and covering it up would be the worst thing imo. Friday is a bit close though to clear it up.

Aloe Vera has worked miracles on minor cuts or spots on me...it can work really fast as well.

Sudocreme makes a massive scab i find, but it usually falls off really soon too

Cheers guys. Yeah, I was thinking that Sudocrem would bring on a scar but wasn't sure why I was thinking that so good to have your confirmation!

Ok, Arnica - I've never tried that? I don't think it's going to be much of a bruise though. There are dark patches already but those are just the fibres of the tights trying to imbed themseves in my DNA!

The Aloe Vera is good. I didn't think of that, but I've definitely had some miracle cures with Aloe Vera before. It doesn't need to be cured completely, just as long as it's somewhat closed over and not a big scab! I can cover over whatever's left in that case.

Don't put a plaster on. Letting the air get to the cut will help it clear faster than with a plaster.

    Ouchie.

Salvon healing cream and then put some Bio Oil over it afterwards to heal up any scar that might be left.

mini-dress, bare legs ... Are ya mad! You'll be frozen!

anyway, Arnika is the king of all bruise busters and letting air at it should help! Good luck!
