right, so i'm having some trouble with my cd burner.

firstly i've got windows xp with all the latest updates. i've tried using nero and infrarecorder and i've tried normal data discs as well as audio discs.

when i put the blank cd in so that i can burn the "ok" button doesn't highlight. it's as though i haven't put a blank cd in at all.

this drive has worked previously for me without issues. i've tried 2 different batches of cdrs (different brands).

the drive is a nec nd-3520a dvdrw.

    can anyone help out?

    thanks
