    i have a kjw m700p currently shotting 400-450 fps with 0.25 bb's

i know you can lower the fps by removing bolt but im not bothered.

my question is if i used 0.38 or 0.40 gram bb's will it bring it under the limit?

    thank's

bb's cant help you got one hot gun there id suggest checking with some of our retailers to see if one of the tech's can down grade it

at that fps your looking at 3joules

The limit is 1 joule power. The 328 fps is just a guideline as most people use .2s. You have to lower your fps

the legal limit is a measure of energy, and energy is a measure of the speed of the projectile and its mass

yes a heaver bb will bring down the weight but the power of the device will remain the same

at the moment your device is over 500 fps with a .20 and is in need of a proper downgrade

there was a good thread on this a few weeks back http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056077148
well the law is simply 1 joule, sites should be using there own bbs at a known weight for chronoing

joule is a measure of energy ( speed and mass of perjectile go together to give joule output )

    .20g at 328 = 1 joule
    .30g at 268 = 1 joule
    .40g at 232 = 1 joule

so if used a heavy bb and keeped it at 328 fps you would get stuff like this

    .20g at 328fps = 1 joule
    .30g at 328fps = 1.29 joule
    .40g at 328fps = 1.99 joule

The legal limit is 1j of energy. That equates to 328fps with 0.2g BBs. Using heavier weights will effect FPS, but not energy.

That rifle is Gas powered; try 134a gas to bring it down - it's a lower pressure, so should drop power by a bit. Not sure if it'll be enough, as 400fps w/0.25 is pretty powerful.

i know the limit is 328 fps with 0.2's.

i can down grade it myself , its simple with this gun its just hassle to get a crono and time consuming.

    thanks anyway :)

it may be time consuming and but its better than in being in possesion of an "illegal firearm"
