people on disability allowance cut?

    hi this may be a stupid question and been asked already but everyone on the news is only referring to the those unemployed have had the dole cut by 4% if im not mistaken but is the same reduction of 4% applied to those on disability allowance?

    AFIK the blind are being docked,so i assume yes you will be docked:(

    Yes, they're more or less the same thing (Payments have always been identical), so it will be cut too.

    RTE just can't do mental arithmetic, illness benefit and jobseekers will both drop to 188 Euro.

    Unfortunately the reason disability was included for the cuts is due to the the 'bad back' brigade imo.

    The temptation for many of the long term dolers would be to hit the doctors with a bad back and avail of the disability benefit instead.

    NO , the reason the disability allowance was cut is due to the fact that the descision was made to exclude pensioners from cuts at all costs , taking a fiver off the pensioners would easily have raised the 70 million needed for blind dogs and other benefits to the disabled

    as i said on another thread , no TD ever lost his or her seat by having scorned the blind

    My wife and son are on disability allowance and I am a full time carer for them we each take a 4% cut.:(
