Meteor online security issue

    Logged in to meteor.ie and absentmindedly checked my personal details.
    There was an incorrect email address associated with my account (not one I recognised) :eek:

    I changed it (though it tells me it could take up to 72 hours for changes to take effect) and contacted meteor for an explanation and for assurances that my personal details were secure. Awaiting a reply.

    Might be worth meteor customers doing a quick check in case this is not an isolated incident.

    Problem solved - Apparently it's standard practice when they don't have a registered email that they generate a spoof email - though judging by the lack of panic - you all knew that :o
