I'm living in Korea and the biggest telecoms company here just released a competitor to the iPad and Samsungs Galaxy tab under the name Identity Tab.

I haven't been able to find any reviews yet but the specs look decent enough.

    http://www.telecomskorea.com/product-9751.html

    Display : 7-inch TFD LCD (Multi-touch)
    Resolution : 800×480 (WVGA)
    Processor: ARM Cortex-A8 1Ghz
    Network : Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR
Inerface : USB 2.0/micro HDMI, Audio Jack 3.5
    OS : Android 2.1
    Memory : 512MB
    Internal Storage : 8GB
External : SD Card (up to 32GB)
    Mobile TV : T-DMB
    GPS : Standalone GPS
Sensor : G-Sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, Digital Compass
Batery 4,000mAh (Stand-by time 72 hrs, Video playing 3.5 hrs)
    Adapter : Mini USB
Audio : 1Wx2ch, SRS WOW HD
    Demension : 191.2 x 30.5 x 4.6 mm
    Weight : 445g

It's about 290 euros without contract for me here as I don't think I'll require the contract as I am also buying a DHD soon and I can use free wifi with the tab.

In contrast the Samsung Galaxy and iPad are nearly twice the price.

Just posting this for anyone that's interested. I think they're going to release it in Europe as well but no idea on a date.

For anyone who has invested in a tab, are they worth it ? Or am I better off just getting a good android phone ?
