    :confused::confused::confused:
    We are going to Fuerteventura to the Hotel Iberostar in Jandia at the south of the island. The flight arrives on saturday 18Dec10 at 1835. The departure is tuesday 28Dec10 at 1935.

    Transfers from the airport appear to be very expensive - about 100euro each way for a taxi. Does anyone have a solution. Is it possible to contact other travellers to share a taxi.

    Private coach hire is a possibility but are they reliable with regard to time and does anyone have a recommendation. Finally, is car hire for a single day at the start and end a possibility.

    Car hire would be much cheaper. Hertz and Cabrera Medina both have offices in the Airport and in Jandia, so you could pick up at one and drop at the other. It's a handy enough drive, takes about an hour. A Corsa for a day shouldn't be much more than €30 + whatever they charge for alternate pickup/dropoff locations.

    Another option is to get a bus or taxi to Puerto del Rosario bus station and then get a bus from there to Jandia

    Congratulations on a great choice of resort. Jandia is much nicer than the resorts up the north of the island and there's a lot less Brits and Irish to contend with!

    Thanks for info MikeDragon32. Car hire does seem a good idea. It is tempting to use the coach transfers though. Several different companies appear on a search such as ; Travelrepublic, Keytransfer, Resorthoppa. But the reviews suggest that the service is unreliable. Does anyone have any first hand experience of these. Thanks.
