I've pretty much decided that my next computer will be a mac but I'm still not sure whether it'll be an iMac or a Macbook pro.

I'm pretty certain that an iMac would do 99% of what I want the computer for (mostly music, mail, internetz and hobbyish photo editing) and be better value for money (for a mac). But I also have a horn for beautiful engineering and I just watched the video of the MBP being machined from aluminium billet and I want one of them even more now.

Question (finally!) is: How are the 13" screens for working off?
I don't think the budget would stretch to a 15", not if Mrs.Milltown gets wind of it anyway, so I'm torn between a 21" iMac or a 13" MBP.

21" imac all the way....the screen on my mbp (15") is absolutely useless compared to the 20" cinema display I have. Unless portability is absolutely necessary I'd go for an imac.
