    So,
How do you make your Hot Chocolate?
What brand powder do you use?
And How exactly do you make it?

What brand powder do you use? Cadburys Milk Chocolate Powder
And How exactly do you make it? I put in 3 spoon fulls of chocolate powder then lots of milk up to the very top. Give it a stir, stick it in the microwave take it back out again. Give it another stir. Put it back in again. Take it back out again and then sprinkle some powder out the mug :)

    Very Complex ;)

So that's what they're calling it these days. Kinky.

I get a woman to make it for me - although i do have to put the marshmallows in myself...

Ooooh I make the best hot chocolate. But I think I might keep my recipe a secret, cause if the boys got a hold of that, they wouldn't come round any more :pac:

Its a lot more complex than powder and microwaves.

At the Christmas Market in CHQ you can get mulled wine and hot chocolate with amaretto in it. Nothing like getting boozed up during the day and eating bratwurst.

In my day, you drank hot rain water. If you were from a rich family, they'd stir in a spoonful of gravel. And you were bloody happy with it too.

Heat up milk in a saucepan over a low flame, add chunks of chocolate (I generally use 70% cocoa chocolate). Stir in sugar. Keep stirring until the whole thing is nice and smooth. Take off the heat and serve.

If I'm in the mood for it I'll stir in a bit of fresh cream for richness, or I might use a little chili powder, or cinnamon, ginger, maybe spike it with brandy...

    Brand: Butlers

Method: stir a melting piece of chocolate into a saucepan of milk.

    Add: Bailey's and whipped cream.

    Result: Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm............

Cadbury if I'm in a hurry, but if I'm out to impress ill melt a bar of green and blacks milk choc over a pan of water. Thin it down with cream first gradually, bout a quarter pint, then about the sane in milk. Vanilla essence if you like.

    Damn you people!

I drink the Aero hot chocolate (both the regular one and the mint one). I've tried all the brands out there and the Aero one is definitely the best! I use 4 big spoonfuls of powder and a little drop of milk. And sometimes I add a few mini-marshmallows. :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,740 ✭✭✭Asphyxia

I like either making it from scratch or using Aero/malteser hot chocolate and then adding some mini marshmallows and malteasers :D

Well ... what I do to make lovely hot chocolate is the following.
    Ingredients:
    • Opinions Original Belgian Hot Chocolate Powder
    • Milk
    • Nutella
    • Marshmallow(s)
First boil some hot water and pour it into a cup with three two spoons of Opinions Hot Chocolate until the cup is HALF full. Get a dessert spoonful of Nutella and heat it up in the microwave for 20 seconds (for a 800W microwave) or until it's slightly runny and pour or scoop it into the cup. Mix well until the Nutella has blended with the Hot Chocolate Powder and hot water. Fill the remainder of the cup with hot milk and again mix thoroughly. Finally place a marshmallow on top.

    Seriously, this is the orgasmic!

    Note: to get rid of the small lumps of powder do the following;
Put the powder in the cup, put 3 teaspoons of water into the cup and mix very well until it turns into a paste. Then put in the microwave for 20 seconds and mix again.
