    You oil the food, not the pan if you're using a griddle. Or you don't really have to use oil if you don't want to. Depending on the quality of the non-stick. Great for steaks, other meat and if you want to give good flavour to veg.

    Personally I'd go for a cast iron pan - the aluminium one will only last so long, and the non-stick will come off. The cast iron will be a life time. I have a Le Creuset one, which I love. But I know people have bought others on Nisbits, but I can't remember which one.
