    Hey girls,

bought this dress for my graduation today, I'm a bit iffy about it for a grad, just wondering your opinions on it. I did get the medium, I took it home to try it on with a strapless bra but it's a tiny bit too big on the boobs, (stupidly I tried it on with a strappy top underneath.... well done SqueakyDuck!) I'm thinking purple shoes or mad green to compliment the colours.

Should have stuck those ribbons in :P

    Any opinions much appreciated! :)

For me, personally as an elder person, it's a bit Saturday night clubbing for a grad - I assume there's a ceremony? It's pretty but not *quite* the kind of thing I'd think suitable for a grad. But I am fuddy duddy about such things

It depends what type of graduation it is really. Is there a ceremony? If you're going to be doing the whole cap and gown thing then you could get away with it because you'll be covered up. It is a lovely dress. :)

hey squeaky, its a lovely dress but I agree with lainey its a bit too night outish too me( tho i think purple shoes would be fab)

Yeah, it's a proper ceremony, cap and gown. It will be covered (or semi covered!)

It's a lovely dress but from the side you can tell it's too big on the chest area. I'm 20 but I wouldn't wear it to a grad, it's lovely but as the others said it's more suited to a night out clubbing. Enjoy your grad!

yeah, I'm gonna bring it back, It's not good if I'm iffy about it. There are a few more dresses there that I might try on, but worst comes to worst I can get a refund! :P

Good choice! You should be 110% happy with it! Good luck with finding a new dress!

Any ideas where to get a nice grad dress in town? TK Maxx have nothing

    Have you tried Debenhams maybe?

Definitely agree its way too night outish!

Depends on your budget really. If you can afford it I'd go for Karen Millen or Coast as I think grad dresses should be more classy than a going out style

If not try Oasis, Mango or Monsoon, monsoon in particular

Topshop and H n M and the likes are more trendy

no luck at the moment today. Tried New Look, Forever 21, Topshop, A wear and Debenhams....all to no joy. Worst comes to worst I have a black shift dress that I could wear, I would just like something new!

    Monsoon ftw

I think the dress is nice but the length is too short with that fit for a grad.

How about a maxi dress? A classy one obviously :D No vile multicoloured prints.

I'd to go to something semi formal recently and wore a gorgeous super simple strappy topped black china silk maxi dress and it felt great, it was nice to be that little bit more dressed than usual. SOmething like this:

    Just an idea :o
