I'm looking for a net book for college. nothing fancy, all it needs to be able to do is internet access, Microsoft office and simple things like that.

I was pricing the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 but the cheapest that comes to is €369 and i don't want to pay that much for something that wont get a load of use.

This is gonna be used for when i cant get a computer in college to study or write up assignments.

I go to L.I.T. so people from there will know when i say can't get a computer!

    Any idea's for me??

I've a Samsung NC10 that I use when I'm travlling and find it really good:

I should point out that I got mine when they came out first two years ago so it has Windows XP on it rather than Windows 7 so I don't know what the preformance is like with Windows 7 but I can't imagine that there's a major difference.

I have never used Samsung laptops before. Are they reliable? Windows 7 is available on that so there must not be any difference. I enjoy 7 anyway.

I had a compaq laptop before. But i have never had a friend who had a Samsung so i don't know much about their performance or lifespan?

Are they worth buying is what I'm really interested in?

Well I've had mine for two years and it still works perfectly and I know a few others who have them too and I've never heard of them having any problems with their's either so I'd happily buy another one tomorrow if I needed to.

Powercity have a Samsung N-130 atm for 260. Very good price for this netbook.

Might also be worth keeping an eye on http://www.gruupy.com/ . They have had a few netbook deals in the last few weeks.

OP , this is the only 1 to consider, its a next generation netbook with a dual core processor

    http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/5084265/Trail/searchtext%3EACER+DUAL+CORE+NETBOOK.htm

I think its a mis-price @224 Euro, as all the other colours are 334.

also has a 6 cell battery.

Suppose no Netbook has a cd Drive

    [
Please note: This product does not have a CD/DVD drive.

Who needs it! ha. always forget that. Acer good yeah?

Maybe the lower price is a Xmas offer or else just minus the Norton Anti-Virus??

Plus its out of stock everywhere!! Has to be a mistake
