Heard the girl from this web-site on Today FM this morning. The 'Rosso solini' are red soles which you can attach to the sole of your shoes to make them look like Louboutains..!!!!
Just wondered if anyone has used them and how they were - as I have a friend who would love a pair of Louboutains but can't afford them and I wondered if these would be worth getting for her.....

Surprised they are legal tbh - hasn't Louboutin gone after people for infringing on the red sole before?

I haven't heard of them until I seen this thread but my first thought..."are they serious?!"

what's the point of buying them? People actually spend money on a piece of red sole to stick on their shoes so they can pretend they are wearing designer shoes?!

I like CL shoes because of the fit, style, etc. Not because of the red soles. I'm sure many other CL wearers are the same.

What a waste of money. The point of Louboutin shoes is quality, workmanship and style, not a red sole. How embarrassing if someone asks where you got your 'Louboutins' and you have to admit that actually they're a pair of Penneys shoes with a fake red sole attached...cringeworthy :pac:

"The point of Louboutin shoes is quality, workmanship and style" - and the fact that they are designer.............

quality, workmanship and style does not equal the ridiculous prices they charge for them!

She's only a teenager folks, give her a chance. At least she's setting up a business and trying something, theres a market for practically everything these days.

I'm all for people setting up a new business but ripping off other designers? No. Personally I don't care if the person that created the product is 15 or 55, the stick on red soles are tacky.

He couldn't get a patent or trademark on it so she is totally within her rights!!!

Ah and buying cheap Pennys shoes with a red sole isn't???? There is a market for it and fair play to her for being so forward thinking!!! You can get a really good pair of shoes (well made blah blah) for €100 and stick on the red sole and no one has to know!!!

Personally I don't get the red sole but women go crazy for it, you can sell anything once somone wants to buy it!!

Also designers are constantly ripped off!!! There is fake everything out there now - she is selling a legit product that isn't fake anything!

I am the proud Dad of Tara Haughton and I would like to answer your questions as follows, the product is called secret soles and at no time do we state that this is a CL product and in face we have 9 sole colours coming inc two leopard skin designs and we have beed contacted by a very well known brand to do their design as a sole, I would also say that Tara is now exporting here Idea to three countries and has now two people employed I do feel that people like Tara are special and from they way she has devloped this idea she has a great future, and to be honest there are people out there who have paid vast amounts of money for the designer shoes however this is a fashion add on that can blend the shoe to an out fit and also make a person feel special and the funny thing is that a 15 year old came up with the idea and there will be fans and people who dont like it, so thanks for the comments it looks like Tara has hit the nail on the head and you will see a lot more about her in the very near future!

Can you explain why the postage costs are so high?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,390 ✭✭✭Stench Blossoms

the postage is €5.00 euro the box is the size of a novel is is €2.75 postage €0.90 for the envlope and we post to the Uk for the same price and we need to have a person pack it and post it so thats the cost If you feel that the post is high you can collect from Clondalkin Kilcullen or the IFSC free

When I tried to order the postage was 7e.

Edit: I just checked again and the postage has gone up to 10e

That's weird stench blossoms, as the only product I can see on the website is actually €18.15 for three sets of 'stripe'.
