    Hey guys,

Was driving home from work this evening and the lights on my dash started flashing up with EAC fail for a few seconds. Similar to the video in the link. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLbNsouMmVI]

My car is a 1.4 tdci 2004 with about 100000 miles on the clock. Anyone here seen or heard of anything similar or know what the cause might be. Any help would be much appreciated!!

    Cheers

Another development on this today, was out for my lunch and started the car to drive back to work at first all was fine then it started to tick over a bit funny kind of shuddering and the message comes back up again. I tried turning car off and on a couple of times but no good so i decided to try and go back to work.
As i pulled out of the garage I noticed it was very slow to accelerate and then that it seemed to max out at approx 2000 rpm.

If anyone could help me on this i would be very grateful. I only spent quite a bit getting the injectors done about a month ago. It is due a service though could this have anything to do with it? (fuel filter need changing mayb?)

Is my car about to turn into a money pit?? :(

There are two things to check: one is the breather hose between the inlet manifold the intake. Make sure it isn't damaged or leaky

Secondly, there's an earth strap beneath the battery tray and the gearbox. Make sure both ends are secure and free from damage or corrosion. Also check for physical damage and chaffing on the main loom which runs by there as well.

If these draw a blank, the car will need to be scanned for fault codes.
