    What does it break?

Any issues with getting root access after the update?

Seems to be issues with rooted users installing this update. Wait for rooted stock rom with update to be released tbh.

As I said in the other thread about this update, my Vodafone Desire (not rooted) updated to software number 2.33.161.2 about a fortnight ago automatically.
Not sure why people seem to be getting a "lesser" version now.

Just got it now and loaded. I'm down to 4mb now though! Does that self correct? I have 90 % of my apps are on SD and the others are stuff I can't move like maps etc. Any tips for more space?

Is your Desire a Vodafone one? Looks like that update (2.33.161.2) was sent mainly to UK Vodafone devices and maybe Ireland too
Maybe they just update different stuff for different carriers. Still no idea what it has updated for me but it ain't broken anything yet :D

Isn't this just a Vodatwat fix, rather than an update?

Update 2.29.405.2 I got is on my Meteor handset so thats deffo not a Vodafone update.
    No Bloat wear either

Maybe 2.33.161.2 was just for Vodafone

very little info out there and no changelogs available yet that I can find on either update

Ah, just checked - I have 2.29.405.2 on mine since it came back from HTC about a month ago, unbranded.

looks like a new Radio, faster Gmail, faster OS in general and battery is also supposed to be improved. Not sure what else it will do for us

I updated mine a week or two ago. Was only a small update. Have it rooted now though. Meh I'm happy the way it is

Can you people confirm on which network you are and if your phone is locked or not.

    I'll start myself and confirm:

HTC Desire Locked with Three, no update Available Software version: 2.25.771.1

The update is only for unlocked phones.

i managed to get it installed on my unlocked and rooted desire, and now wifi isn't working, and its now un-rooted - any suggestions?

unrevoked doesn't seem to be working either :-(

just tried a re-install of the froyo-offical and it seems to be better - but rolled back

Usually broken wifi after an update indicates that you didn't have your goldcard in the phone during the update - was this the case? I'm sure there's many other possibilities too...

nope - no gold card, just a rooted unlocked o2 handset (with a voda-sim)

i was under the assumption that metoer desire's came unbranded... should I reasses that as this update is unavailable to me?
