Energy efficient bulbs

    Hi all, these energy efficient bulbs last forever, almost. When the time comes to change one will some be siezed up in the lamp holders and give rise to problems with have to renew light fittings etc.

    Too much time on my hands:pac:.

    a lot of them unfortunately don't last nearly as long as they try to let on

    There could be the problem as you say that the lamp holder might have changed in the intervening time.

    I reckon the best lamp holder to use, if you have the choice, is something ES based - globally universal, and the "springs" of the connector are easily accessible
