Imagine Motorola CPEi 775 WiMAX Login Password?

    Hi folks,

Asking for a friend of mine. Does anyone know if there's a default password for logging into this router as my Google searches are turning up with nothing, except "motorola", which does not work. Does Imagine have a default password for their own batch?

Having to get Imagine to do your port-forwarding is a joke, getting access to the router itself would make life a lot easier. If there isn't a default password, rather one set by Imagine personalized for each customer, do they generally give them out if requested? Managing the internal network should be left at the customer's discretion.

Plus, does it have UPnP? It's either off or the router doesn't feature it.

    Thanks!

Blargh. Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I read the manual and tried that password without any luck. I guess I'll get her to call WiMAX and I'll tell her what to say if nobody else has any insight. Do they refuse to give the passwords out upon request or what's their story?

they should give it to you, they don't have the rights to say no.

Call Imagine, WiMax is a technology.

They lock out the modem because they don't want you to change anything. They have every right to stop the customer from doing this too, as it's Imagine's service and modem to begin with.

They will not give you the password.

Ah sure, there's no harm in trying. It just seems awfully inconvenient to have no control over your own network. If the router had UPnP featured/enabled, this may have some forgiveness. But it doesn't, so as I said, it's plain inconvenient.

Had the same issues. Then I had lots of connectivity and VOIP issues with Imagine.Raised a few technical support incidents and was on to the techies.

After a bit of battling, I had to threaten to sign out of the contract for want of control over the modem. For each port forwarding , I had to call the johnnies and start to explain this from scratch. This was a pain in the rear...

    Then I got it.Under agreement that I wouldn't change
the admin password.I agreed. I can now control my WiMax motorola modem too ..

I had a nightmare with these today. 3 hours to do the basic of the basic & forward 2 ports.
Spent the 1st hour with them arguing ports had been forwarded & refusing me access to the router.
By the second hour the guy gave up & gave me the password.
After I configured it 443 was still blocked. Asked about 20 times is there a reason why 443 is not getting past the modem. I was assured there was no reason.
Into the 3rd hour they eventually told me they are using SSL for remote access.
After that set up post 90 for my self & changed ports on the machine.
    Worked...
All that could have been 10 minutes work if these guys didn't insist on knowing it all & doing it themselves.
