    Hi all,

Just got a letter in from Cllr Ken Farrell about Lusk United moving to the ring road and another retail development to be inserted in its place as well as additional housing.

Anyone seen any plans for this and does Lusk really need this?

Please bear in mind, I'm a blow-in from Raheny and have no problem with it whatsoever, just wondering is the demand there for it?

Depends who is behind it, Tesco tried getting into Rush. If there behind the Lusk scheme they will easily make their investment back.

    From Neighbours.ie
There are plans for the redevelopment of the grounds at Lusk Utd on the Station Road. The area from Supervalu to the Rush Road roundabout is the site concerned. It will be the new main street of lusk. The plan is for a shopping center with large supermarket and smaller shops and reataurents as well as housing similar to the housing in Lusk Village (it will back onto Lusk Village).

Lusk Utd will be moved to the new pitches near the educate together school.

Lord Mayor Ken Farrell is hosting a meeting next Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 in Lusk Utd to get the views and opinions of anyone interested. He has appointed an independent planner to look at the plans. That person will also be at the meeting along with the developer (cant remember who it is)interested in the development.

This is our town and we have a say in its future so I think we should make an effort to attend.
