Can a person transfer from a college in England to a college in Ireland sticking with the same course but avoiding the CAO?

I would be VERY surprised if this was the case but it would depend on the course and the colleges involved, I presume. The entry requirements for many colleges in the Uk are below those in Ireland so you would have to make direct enquiries to the colleges involved, as an initial course of action.

That depends on how much of your current course you have completed. If for example you have finished a year or more you may be elligible for advanced entry into a course here. Of course that depends on your results to date and the colleges involved.
