Ok so I am off in the morning to try to get a pair of these thingys, I have had no problems driving in the snow but major difficulty when it turns into ice, especially frozen slush while trying to go up any sort of an incline.

I resorted to tying a few bits of electrical cable around my tyres which worked really well but obviously only a temprorary measure.

I dont want to invest though if they cant hanle a bit of ice because lets face it,driving in the snow isnt really the problem, its the hard slippy ice!

Anyone give me a heads up?
