Timing Belt on 99 Corolla GS 1.3 petrol

    Hey guys, just wondering does anybody know when the timing belt on a 99 petrol 1.3 corolla engine should be replaced??

    Usually on most cars it's every 60k miles. Some recommend that on the 2nd and subsequent change it's every 30k miles. Besides mileage it should be replaced every 6-7 years regardless of miles as the belt degrades over time.

    The interval for those engines is 100,000kms(62,000m) or 5 years.

    Its just as important that the time interval is observed as the milage.
