We have a fun task for us all to get us in the mood wink.gif, in case the snow hasn't already. cool.gif
To come up with a Nature and Bird Watching pictorial version of 12 days of Christmas. biggrin.gif
    Brief guidelines
    Irish based nature,
Your own photos or your Artwork.
Keep the original lyrics in mind, though artistic license will have to prevail for some!

Reply to this thread with contributions, one day of Christmas per post. If it is not obvious which day the contribution is for then spell it out.
Littlebug and myself will pick the final 12. The amount of thanks will have a bearing on our picks, so if you approve, give your thanks.

We will add or edit guidelines if we see fit.

Once we get contributions for 12 days we may gather the 12 together and edit when better ones come along to have final choice in or around Christmas

Six geese a laying (I think...does Feargals one frog cover this one?)
    Eight maids a milking
    ten lords a leaping
    Eleven pipers piping
    Twelve drummers drumming

    :D Good luck!

I think I went through every single photograph I have last night and found nothing that fits

    Time to get creative!

i did the same as you littlebug , problem with wildlife photos is that most subjects are isolated on purpose. i could crop out a few riders from a horse race for ten lords a leaping :D would that count?

    .

Serious creativity and artistic licence required to finish this thing off before next Christmas I think! I'll see if I can come up with anything else. Do your worst best Durnish :D
