Does anybody know the location of a Domestic waste centre in Carlow? Do you use such a facility and is it better value to bring domestic waste rather than have refuge collected from council or private companys etc??
    Thanks in advance.

Standard domestic waste can be brought by a private individual to the main landfill site for the county at Powerstown. All the info. you need should be available on the Co.Co. website, environment section. Linky below.

Also there is a New Waste compression skip available at Kennan's Garage on the Palintine road (Pollerton).
They charge you per bag i believe. I don't know what the prices for it is but it may be handy for people who have 1 or 2 people living in the house and generate only a small amount of waste.

Only one in Carlow so the Girl on the checkout says.. ;)

It's pay-by-weight, €20 per 140kg. There's a minimum charge (€20 ?) which they don't mention on the website so it wouldn't pay to go there every week.
