    Hi,

I remember vividly this tv show that was on Irish tv (I think N2 rather than rte1) around the very early 90's. It sounds a bit weird but basically I think it was set by the sea in Dublin and the people in it puppets and it was about their lifes in this big house by the sea. It had definatley got adult aspects to it, I think one of the women puppets had a lover. Anyway, here is where it gets really weird! In it, it also had these mexican or spanish cochroach puppets that lived in the walls and a weird theme tune accompanied this section of the show. I think it was on a sunday. I know this sounds weird and trippy but I don't think even I could have made up something so bizarre. Its been bugging me for years and none of my friends have ever heard of it.

anyone have any idea what I am remembering?

Could it be Rimini Riddle? With Aunt Vera and her boyfriend Jeffery and I think she had a friend named Quentin P.? The boy was Rory and the girl was Ellen and they had a friend named Jimmy Doran. Rory had a puppet named Otto who would bring them into his dimension. I think the "Riddle" was something to do with a painting in Auntie Vera's house by the sea. There were two girls in the painting and they'd move around. I think Jeffery got sucked into the painting once he was outed as being a baddie.

Can't remember anything about roaches, though.

This is the one I'm thinking of-

It was a very f*cked up show! Used to scare the hell out of me. I was born at the very end of '82 and I think this may have been on sometime around '92/'94. The puppets were very scary. Just remembered there was another puppet child named Leo.

    Found a Facebook page-

Edited to add: Just looked at the FB page and there seems to be some people mentioning the cockroaches and asking if they were Mexican which is starting to ring a bell with me.

I recall a show like this. It wasn't that Rimni thing though. I always remembered it to be a ship that had puppets, one was a mermaid with a husky voice and a chef... no clue what the name of it was
