Hymenectomy

    Hi

I just want to get some peoples experiences on this, NOT looking for medical advice at all.

I've had problems for years with my hymen breaking, there was much of it for a long time, but gradually I've gotten it broken down so there's little left. I recently spoke to my doctor about it, and she said she'll refer me on to a gynaecologist and 'we'll get that sorted' she said.

I've looked up a number of things myself over the years, and I think it's likely to result in a hymenectomy. just wondering has anyone had experience of a similar situation. I'm ok with my doctor examining me (though she hasn't) but a little more warey about a stranger doing it. especially as most gynaecologists seem to be men.

anyone had this done, and go on to be able to have sex properly?
