riello rbd help please

    i have a riello rbd 1 burner
    when powered on motor runs but no power to oil valve or electrodes and it doesent lockout just keeps running
    does this point to faulty control box ???

    Sounds like it alright
    Did you try removing the control box cover? Normally a single screw holding it on

    I'd say it's a faulty solenoid.
    I had the same problem with an rdb that just kept running but changed the solenoid and then happy days!

    Could be solenoid valve alright
    Simple way to check solenoid valve is open the clip holding the coil on the shaft and take it off
    Now put a screwdriver inside the solenoid coil, power on your burner and the screwdriver should stick to the side of the coil once its energised as it becomes magnetic

    If its not doing that, then your solenoid coil is more than likely gone
