iPhone on 2 computers

I've said I'd help a friend change her iPhone, but it's an unusual (I suppose) kind of setup. Her old phone was linked to a desktop PC, but she'd prefer to use the new one with her laptop, which she carries around for work.

But she needs the contacts and settings from the old phone to be transferred to the new one.

Is this easy to do? She'll need to set up iTunes on the laptop with the old computer, then transfer her chip into the new phone and set it up as a new phone on the same account.

As far as I recall you can sync it with up to 4 machines.

If that doesn't work, you can just sync the new phone with the old PC the first time. This will sync all your contacts etc to the phone. Then connect phone to the laptop and press sync on that. This will sync data from the new phone to new iTunes. Should work :)

Or, if you're a more advanced user, you can copy the entire backup from old iTunes to the new one?
