Has anyone a clear explanation and description on how to add free to air channels to the Foxsat HD box?
I was abe to add Sky News easily to a Grundig SD Freesat box as menu has option to add these channels
    :)

You can't - the Humax doesn't work like the Grundig boxes.

The Humax has an FTA mode - you get to it via the Main Setup Menu.

It can be in either Freesat mode or non Freesat mode - and it's a bit of a pain to switch too many button presses & too many seconds....

When in Non Freesat mode - you can search for & store all FTA channels including sky news.

AFAIK - when in non Freesat mode your Freesat recordings don't work properly. I might be wrong - they may have fixed that.

    Thanks for that.
    I checked it-
do we have to retune the box every time switching between freesat and the alternative mode?

It's not necessary to re-tune the box. If you're in non-Freesat mode and a recording is due the box will put up a reminder. You can also record in non-Freesat mode by pressing the record button, but you can't set up a timed recording. It's ideal for a Freesat box, you can export recorded stuff via USB and also import video the same way, but it is awkward to use as just a Free-To-Air (FTA) box and this is by design.
