Just curious does anyone in here know if one could fail a test over having an orange "Epc" warning light on the dash?

    Thanks in advance

I'm not a tester, but yes warning lights on the dash will result in the testing being abandoned rather than being failed.

    Short answer: Get it fixed.
Long answer: It may be that there is nothing wrong with your car except the warning light is on. The EPC light is prone to come on in Volks Wagons, often polos. Talk to a mechanic to be sure. But the light may be the only fault. SOMETIMES these things are easily fixed. If there is nothing wrong except the light, call the RSA to get their opinion. The examiners can make their own decisions as to what warning lights they will ignore.
    That said, get it fixed.

Lol, I know what's causing the light, It's a friend of mines car and I'm just wondering if it needs to be sorted before the test or not. Thanks for the help. The fact it's orange and not red, and not an oil light etc. I assumed it would be fine. I'll try get it sorted for him.
