Many people wouldnt be attracted to ireland For obvious reasons, IMF, Unemployment, Etc... And it feels like Ireland has lost Its tradition, when i think about it, i just dont feel it, The Irish dancing just means nothing anymore, Basically do u like Living here or not? or would people be intrested in coming here in your opnion? :)

People who don't live here because they find somewhere else a more attractive option.

    In general.

I liked living in Ireland until 2008 and the **** hit the fan. Lost my job in November 09 which is when I last worked there.

I'm now in Canada (Toronto) and I can say that the quality of life here is vastly better.

I love living here, i wouldn't want to leave, being surrounded by friends and family, i like the fact i know my locals, and they know me, i love the fact my daughter is growing up with her entire family around her like i did!

the fact we are able to manage very well financially, during this recession, and the fact my other half walked out of college into a well paid job helps,

we're the lucky ones i guess.

I like it here sometimes but I hate the thought of being stuck living here for the rest of my life.

(apologies if it seems like rubbing it in to those with 1,000 yr mortgages)

I know there's plenty that could be better about it, but overall it's pretty easygoing... well, was until the sh1t hit the fan. But if you haven't been too horrendously affected, it's a pretty decent standard of living, if you've family and friends here.

Tbh Ireland isnt the worst country out there. But we are declining quickly.
What made us great was our attitudes, being nice, caring towards others etc. most of that is gone but theirs still alot of decent folk out there.

The rise of scumbags is worrying tho.

Imo Dublin is a bad representive of Ireland. Horrible city full of ignorant, careless people. (Not everyone, but alot are)

More extreme movements have started with less motivation tbh!

I don't think I've ever met an Irish Nazi in fairness!

There were some, not seen the doco on RTÉ called Irelands Nazi's?

I meant to say Grammar Nazi in my other post though.

No doubt there are some grammatical errors in mine, which another will point out to me, thus completing the cycle of Muphrys Law.

i spent a decade in the uk. it was ok. but when I came back here and heard people effing and swearing in business meetings I knew this was where I wanted to be!!

Genuinely hate it :( Liked it before, but now unemployment, overpriced...everything, general depression about the place has taken it's toll and im gone in the new year. It makes me sad because there was a lot of good things about Ireland (still is maybe) but from my point of view, it's fallen on it's arse badly through greed, ****e influx of culture (im not talking about the Polish or Lithuanian or anyone like that, i mean the shallow "american" type), lousy government etc...

I never thought I'd say i hate the place but jaysus, there's only so many kicks in the balls you can take.

I love living beside friends and family. Being part of a close community is also a big plus. Wouldnt want to move anywhere else and if I have kids, I want them to have the same childhood I had.
