    Hi!

    I'd like to shoot some landscapes covered in snow. Can you please recommend some locations to me? I'm interested in Co. Kildare/Wicklow and Dublin area.

    Wicklow is a big place with so many opportunities for the snapper. I live near Aughrim and its a wonderful location for landscapes at any time, but particularly now e.g.

    Thanks to both of you for your advice. I was thinking about couple of "standard" locations like Great Sugar Loaf, Wicklow & Sally Gap and Knocksink Wood Nature Reserve but I'd prefer to go somewhere I haven't been before so Aughrim might be the the place I might end up tomorrow.

    @Slogger Jogger that's a nice photo.

    I took the attached in Howth. There were some great opportinities for shots when the snow was thick.

    Take it easy on the roads. Quite slushy down here.

    I was up the sugarloaf today but it took 2 hours for the freezing fog to clear before I could get a shot!!!

    It takes a bit of work to get up to higher ground for snowy landscapes :)

    In the end me and my friend decided to go to the Wicklow Gap. We arrived quite late but managed to get a couple of decent shots. Thank you all for your input.

    Presume now is still as good a time as any?
    The snow will be on the high ground and the roads are better to get there?

    Yeah, roads a lot lot better. Hills still quite white with snow. I saw pics of some people I know traversing the Wicklow way today knee deep in snow in places. Enjoy.
