Fear 2- I've never been so confused at the end of a game

Not on the same level of weirdness but the ending of assassin's creed 2 was fairly non-sensical. Not to mind a severe let down having read in a review that it was one of the 'the best ending to a video game ever!'

Aye. See I don't really have a 'next-gen' console so all these games are enjoyed vicariously through my lil bro (who has both a ps3 AND a 360, bless 'im). So yeah, he completes them and then shows me the endings (team effort. I'm the moral support!).

But those two games were only recent. I had to have the FEAR 2 ending explained to me as I was asking "ok now who's she? And what the hell is she doing?" all the time. I've since completed the first one on the PC and still not sure which is Alma and which is her mother doing all the freaky sh!t.

I've also just thought of a game whose ending annoyed the bejaysus out of me. Major WTF moment too. Solar Striker on the Game Boy. You complete six levels of vertical scrolling madness only to play them again on a harder level? B*stards! ^_^

No silent hill? I found the dog ending pretty fcuking weird, but brilliant!

Shadow Of The Colossus had a pretty mad ending.

I liked the AC2 and AC:B endings, but then again, I loved Lost!

I know it wasn't exactly the ending but it was close enough to the end. The monster creature things in Uncharted: Drakes Fortune had me doing this

Not that I remember a lot of it, but the ending to Tomb Raider Legend was pretty freaky.

Assassins Creed 2 is pretty confusing for sure. It didn't fit in with what was a magnificent game.

Ya what is up with that Fear ending?
    Is there a Fear 3?

Half Life 2 that guy in a suit just appeared out of know where

Watched all of those last night. I had forgotten how painfully unfunny Conkers Bad Fur Day was.

Jericho is the game i thought of as soon as i saw this thread. Giant baby battle, then swimming into nothing. The end
Half Life 2 that guy in a suit just appeared out of know where

Which actually made sense (kind of) considering it was the Gman.

The Silent Hill 2 Dog Ending is weird, but the Silent Hill 1 UFO Ending is equally weird.

    Stalker ending i was like..........wat.

Spend the whole game reading all the stuff, listening to all the characters. Ok think i've some idea whats going on.
Get to the reactor, the whole time theres some voice speaking in russian which i assume is telling vital story elements with no subtitles. Get to some room, touch some thing, video appears showing me get killed by tonnes of coines falling on me.

Later i read the wiki about the story, talking about the russian government conducting a load of tests. I was like WTF i never read that anywhere. I mad

Whats not to understand about it? All along youre looking for the artifact called 'wish granter', in that it grants wishes. You find the artifact, and you wished for being rich. Its starts raining money until youre buried alive in gold. Its one of the 'bad' endings. The real ending doesnt make much more sense but still, its hardly up there with MGS2's baffling load of bull**** ending.

THe Assassins Creed endings are based on ancient Sumerian stories

IIRC I got to the last mission in that (think it was a dam..) and gave up due to an absolutely horrible difficulty spike. Wasn't exactly the most engaging story line ever up until then from what I remember!

Soul Reaver 2 has to be one of my favourite "wait... what???" type endings, but was still easy enough to grasp

All the Mystical Ninja/Ganbare Goemon games had mad endings-but everything in those games were mad anyway.
