    Hi guys

Looking for advice on what's the best sucky in undies for wearing under a dress. I'm bridesmaid in Feb but figure I'm as well get one now and have it for the Christmas party, you know when you look at Gok and he gives the ladies an amazing silhouette, that's what I want, so any ideas are spanx the best? I want something maybe with straps so it can't roll down if you know what I mean.

I bought a yummy tummie slip in Brown Thomas last year and it's AMAZING! I tried spanx/M&S etc before and found everything rolled down/up or squeezed me in so much that it actually added lumps and bumps like an overstuffed sausage. It's expensive but I'd spent so much on other brands before that this was worth paying for. You'd need to wear a bra under it if you've any boobs- the cups aren't really proper cups, more like nightie style cups. I don't mind this at all though - I prefer to wear a proper fitted bra and have a comfy hold me in on top!

    It comes in black too.

Pennys are the best!!!! You can get tops like above but just a string top and you can get undies too like cycling shorts!!!!

    Cheap and work :D:D:D:D:D:D

The bottoms are great for the tummy, hips and bum but if you want a waist you need to get the ones that go higher and lower, go to above the knee and just under the bra!

Yeah i agree, the penneys ones are suprisingly good. Have a top that sucks in from under the bust down, makes my stomach flat as a board :)

I have the penney's ones too. Some of them come with gorg lace bits on them.

I find them really, really difficult to get into the slim tops though.

I also need to buy one of these for a wedding, I'm bridesmaid too!!

I need one that will hold me in but the back of the dress is low, just below the bra strap.

Can you buy any that will give a waist and suck you in but has a low back? I'm so desperate but don't know where to look..wedding is in 3 weeks!

    thanks for your help

I got something like this but with boning in it so it didn't roll and you've your own bra and underwear, it actually worked wonders! Can't find it on the site, but it is the same brand. The one I have has a criss-cross going across the front of it. The boning in it is ingenious at keeping it in place.

My friend got one of these

    http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_158010509060_-1?breadcrumb=Home~Lingerie~Shapewear+%26amp%3B+control+lingerie

and wore it back to front - and it was fine for a low backed dress.

My mum gets hers in debenhams and calls them puller inners pusher uppers! With the right one it can do wonders

Dunnes do lovely knicker versions of them, and I have a black top one that pulls in my belly but flattens my boobs! They are quite cheap too like 6e for the top and 8e for the knickers!

It's definitely worth going in and trying on anyway. The black is even nicer but the nude colour is handy for under lighter clothes.

The Apparel place has some good sucky-in-magical-loveliness wear. Their outlet section is quite reasonable too.

I got the Angel Corset and couldn't be happier. It doesn't have straps but the Hollywood corset does: http://www.theapparelplace.com/productdetails.asp?productcode=TW1007 and it's very similar.

I also find Trinny and Susannah's range very good: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_5_29?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=trinny+and+susannah+shapewear&x=0&y=0&sprefix=trinny+and+susannah+shapewear
