Alarm going off in cold weather

We have a HKC alarm fitted with 10 window sensors, front door back door and 3 PIRs. During the cold weather -3 degrees the alarm goes off, It used to flag the back door but lately it has changed to the front windows. After we disarm and rearm it is ok for about an hour or so but then trips again.

Has anyone else experienced this? Alarm also has a battery fault showing but that is not affecting it.

    Thanks in advance :D

Probably a faulty sensor or contact on that zone.
How many devices are on that loop?

First off if the panel has got a battery fault you should change it, the alarm will be no use to you in the event of a power failure. I have seen it happen when windows or doors expand in the heat so your contracting in the cold could also be causing this. You could even have a faulty sensor on the alarm causing it to activate. Only a service from an alarm installer would tell you what the problem is.

    Devices? Loop?

Not sure how it was installed originally, i have been meaning to change the battery for a few weeks but as usual its on the long finger.
I will have to call the guy who originally installed it.

The sensors on the windows, some may be looped together on 1 zone.

The cold weather can cause all sorts of problems. Battery faults can cause all sorts of issues.
Getting your alarm serviced will sort these problems.
