I know I'm cheating but can someone help me. I am trying to secure the area where the helicopters are to pick us up and am getting shot to crap with scores of enemies coming down from the mountains. There doesn;t seem to be a way out, or am I just lazy??

Instead of collecting the bullets that the enemy fires at you, try avoiding them.

Just take cover in the house and shoot until they blow it up then go prone at the back of the house and hug whats left of the wall and the helicopters should arrive and blow the rest of the people up. The AI should pick of anyone who gets close, well worked for me on the hardest mode anyway.

Also, fire in bursts, conserve your ammo. Always keep your second gun loaded and switch when low so you won't be reloading in front of the enemy. Remember you've a pistol with (stupidly) unlimited ammunition.

So basically, use cover, conserve ammo. It's a great level IMO.

Yea, it was one of the few memorable moments in an average game, was the only time I thought "wow, I really feel for any soldier who finds himself in this sort of situation"

I don't know, I thought the game was fantastic at giving the average gamer an insight into a dark and covert branch of the military.

If it was the only modern day FPS I'd ever played, then I'd probably have been blown away, but after Battlefield 2, COD 4, MW 2, BFBC2, there's very little left to find unique in that genre. I suppose I have only myself to blame though, I was saying how sick to death I was of WW2 titles...

I will say this though, I've preferred the multiplayer to MW2 and BFBC2, but I was playing those on consoles. I should just stop playing FPS' on consoles, they annoy the hole off me cause their control interface just cannot compare to a mouse and keyboard.

I felt that because of playing MW1&2 and BFBC this game was all the better. While not a sim it gives a much better idea of what the soldiers face compared to the ludicrous james bond style stories in call of duty.

I think most of the complaints people made about it being boring are what i love about it.

Hide outside the back left of the house. Nobody comes from the left for ages so you just gotta cover the right and the rpg's/car that hit the house miss you

shoot in the direction of the red arrows, and keep a dragunov handy!
