I fail to see what your problem is? Is it because they're referring to us as Southern Ireland instead of the Republic? Big swinging mickey, imo. Who gives a rats ass.

Edit: Just saw your sig. You didn't capitalise Brits. Guess that makes you and them even, what?

Pedantic much? Considering northern ireland is to the north of us, it is not unreasonable for some people to call the republic of ireland southern ireland.
Would you have the southern most parts of northern ireland called southern-northern ireland?
And what about if you needed better directions? Perhaps if it was on the eastern side of that area? Eastern-southern-northern ireland?

Eh, its not Republic Of Ireland, its Ireland.

its not nordy bashing. Its a 'get the name of your closest neighbour right, especcially when youre talking directly to them them' thread.

    How is it not right?

Would you prefer the "south of Ireland"?

What a ridiculous and ignorant post.

Id prefere the name of the country. Or awesomeland, largewillistan or simply 'the lads'.

south of ireland is Fastnet, southern ireland is Munster.
