Although I don't expect this thread to last very long I can empatise with your situation.

I was out of work and soon will be by Christmas(they just haven't told me when yet). I would work probably for free for companies for a week if their staff couldn't turn up to give them an understanding that I AM GOOD and they should "FIND" a job for me.

Although being paid would be better. I know people using the weather as an excuse to do Sweet Fuc all, stay in bed and play with their kids when there are others who are desperate for work.

Im currently hording my money in the expectation of being out of work. Only for my OH's Christmas club we would have no presents for anybody. :(

There is a recruitment/charity company based in Limerick, can't think of their name, who offer staff to employers to work for 8 weeks FOR FREE but ONLY IF you offer them a full time job on the 9th week.
