URGENT - 4x4 needed in Dublin

Long shot here. I have a family wedding tomorrow in Castleknock & Leixlip. We've hired one 4x4 but we really need another one. We've tried all the car hire companies, and they either don't carry them or they're all out on hire.

Does anyone know a place in Dublin where we could hire/rent a 4x4 for today - Monday?

Thanks - any and all help is appreciated.

www.vanrentals.ie have some L200's on fleet, but I'd say you'd be lucky to get one at this stage. Based in Ballymount, L200 isn't listed on the website so best to give them a
    call.

Hertz quite often have Land Rovers / Range Rovers out at the Airport.

Avis had some X-Trails, but I suspect they are probably 4x2 versions.

Thanks R.O.R. - We've tried all the reular car hire companies. We have a Land Rover from Hertz at the moment (an amazing machine that I'm in love with).

We'll try vanrentals now - thanks for the tip.

I know they are tackey but aren't there 4X4 stretch hummers available for hire with drivers and proper insurance.

    Could be an option.

Stretch Hummer would be too big for wedding location, but regular Hummer perhaps. Anyone know a place to contact?

PM Eric Cartman on here, I'm sure he'd only be too happy to help out, he's from that area too

A mate of mine Paul Jones has a white normal size Hummer which he does Weddings and hen parties ect. His number is 0868724204 and he is based in Finglas so not too far away.

@danjo thanks for tip but we've already exhausted all regular car hire locations.

@mickk I'll pass this to the bride & groom. Our preference is to have self-drive vehicle for duration of wedding weekend but we'll definitely consider.

    Better idea.

Ring Joe Duffy the BMW dealer and ask him to lend / hire you an X5 or 2.

Depending on his reaction ring the other Joe Duffy on liveline after the wedding and tell the country how the other Joe Duffy saved (or didn't) the day.
