    HI all

Last year I was redundant, it took me a year to get redundancy payment.
Also I was redundant without proper time notice so the company had to pay me a week notice .. but they charged me tax on it 150 Euro and sent me it as payslip saying I was working 39 hours when I'm unemployed and claiming.

Can the company charge me tax on my payment for the "short notice"?

Yes they can charge tax, they are effectively paying you for a weeks work, even if you didnt physically work it, the weeks notice should then be included in your overall calculation for redundancy payment.
