Builder is plastering internal walls this week - should we be concerned?

The builder is ploughing ahead with plastering internal walls in our house this week and leaving (very small) heaters on overnight but the house is still quite cold. Should we be concerned at this and how long would it take before we would notice if this leads to problems (we've been told it could take 3-4 years before cracks appear)?

YES you should be worried. No plasterer worth their salt would work in weather like this unless the heating is on in the building.
Inform the plasterer in writing that you are not happy with them plastering at this time, and that should any issues occur in the future that they will have to repair and re-decorate.
The issue is frost - not the cold. Get a small temperature gauge and put it in the room. On the bag of skim they are using there will be guidelines on temperature usage.

I know you should never dry out plaster too quickly. I assume he's using the heaters as he's worried about frost damage, but if the house is sealed (as it should be for internal plastering) then I doubt it would drop below freezing. Just make sure they're not drying the plaster too quickly.

Someone that knows more might advise you better.

My Plasterer scratch coated a number of my external and internal walls early last week while he was waiting for the windows to be installed. He's using gallons of "Frost proofer"!
    Should I be worried?
