Round my way the kids/teenagers were out all evening throwing snowballs at anything that passed. I noticed they stayed out all evening till late last night. They were wearing tracksuits and runners, do they not feel the cold?

    ah the youth!

We can't do that cause we are getting old and would just complain all evening about our cold wet feet.

White runners, white tracksuit, they were probably robbing you blind. Did ya check your pockets?

Trackies are warm. At least some types are. I've been wearing mine in to work and getting changed when I get there.

    God bless the cold snap.

It's been like a bout of CPR to the moribund corpse of the AH scumbag motif.

I walked home from the gym in a pair of shorts the other day, the amount of looks I got was unreal.

I've worn shorts a bit in this weather actually (I like them...) and looks a constant. It's not THAT cold people.

They tuck their trakkie bottoms into their socks... it's chav chic at the moment and probably keeps you nice and warm too. You're runners in the snow would probably get soaked though.

Trousers into the socks has been around for the best part of 5 years by now.

Tracksuits with a t-shirt and hoodie underneath are warm enough. Most know they're going to get cold anyway.

I've been wearing my regular clothes, ie, work trousers with shoes or Jeans with DC's except an extra hoodie on top and me long johns underneath :D.

When out playing in the snow it's my ski gear all the way.

I ve adopted ths fashion. The snow was soanking my DCs and the ends of my trousers. So i put on my runners (white) because they are like leather and keep the water out and my tracksuit, tightened the ends so its a bit tucked into socks style. So the ends dont get wet with snow. I put up my hood and have been wearing a scarf over half my face. All practical for this weather.

Do I look like a dodgy teenager? Yes! Am I one? No. Do I look like Im gonna throw snowballs at you? Yes. Will I? No. The fun of the snow!

The comfiest shoes ever. Wearing these was once describes as like walking on babies with pillows strapped to your feet.

My Doc Martens have been serving me well, keeping my feet warm and dry when I'm ankle deep in snow.

Depends on how bad it is but I have been wearing a good pair heavy socks, jeans and runners that have excellent grip and keep my socks super dry along with a seriously heavy hoody.

To add to the ugg boots on the ridiculous footwear, yesterday morning the lady on the dart beside me was wearing stiletto heeled boots. The heels were every bit of 4 inches. Madness.

Depends....I had a pair with two pairs of socks on while in the Phoenix Park the other day and even when walking through the fields where the snow was a like a foot deep my feet weren't cold but when walking home on the path later on in the night they were ****en freezing :(

I think someone just likes the attention

    Why do you think that?

I wore them home after the gym last night with a hoody, scarf and hat. I wasn't arsed getting changed into my jeans.

I wore them over to the pub (across road from me) or to the shop as it's just down the road and I wear them all the time at home - again not bothered changing just so I can leave the house.

I am more comfortable in them and it is not that cold, for me at least, once your core is warm.

Disintegrating braincells actually generate a lot of heat. So the worst scum can survive in even arctic weather without clothes for weeks. In fact, I'm pretty sure they are responsible for global warming. The rise in scumbaggery in the last 50 years directly correlates with the rise in global temperatures.

    That's my theory anyway.

i ditched my dc's for boots.....no way am i tucking my trousers into my socks!!!
hoodies, fleece jumpers and cotton trackies are the way to go in this weather!
oh and don't forget the dogflap hat :D

I came up to Dublin this day last week for the weekend. Am still stuck here. I'd only brought the runners i was wearing, but luckily i found an old pair of Doc Martins in my room, so i wear them out in the snow. They're steel toe though so i better remember that if i go to kick someone..

I've been wearing jeans and DCs! The DCs are crap the snow, but they're better than my Vans.

I didn't think to buy any snow proof clothes, and this is all I have!

Seen some people in the last two days outside with high-heels on - in the snow.
That to me (and the wife - should have heard what she called the lassies) is just daftness and stupidity of the highest order!

I saw 3 women* out in onesies making snow angels. I would have joined them but I was too aroused.

    * I would have said girls but that would just have sounded wrong

I've been doing pretty much the same up until the snow started, I'd wear shorts while cycling to and from work/gym so just can't be arsed getting changed into jeans.

You omitted how a diet of microwaved 'dinners' and chips high in transfats provides them with a blubber like layer of insulation.
