Well, one does two subjects, as far as I know 'majoring' in one in their forth year. That's about it.

There is a points range isn't there? Is it just luck if you get in? Not everyone within the range will get an offer. I presume it's higher offered first is it?

The points are decided by subject combination, like any other course. As such, like with any course, points may go up or down and anyone getting the exact number of points may not get in. There's a handy table in the prospectus showing the points each combo required last year.

I don't think archaeology with Geography is allowed is it? You'd think it would considering they're kind of related.

According to the Prospectus (pg 90) it isn't.

    Hey.

    TSM - Two Subject Moderatorship.

You pick two subjects (there are loads of combinations, see the prospectus for the table) and study both equally, your end degree is a BA in both subjetcs. With most combinations, you have to give one subject up after 3rd year and only do one for fourth year, but there are a few odd ones where you do both in 4th year (again, see prospectus).

It's a pretty good system and we only have about 14-17 hours a week :D

To work out the points...: Normally you see stuff like
    French 470** - 555**
    Spanish 450** - 555**

Irish 520** -565** (not the actual range)
    right?
Of your two subjects, you take the highest one of the first number - so if you wanted French & Spanish, it's be 470, if you wanted Irish & Spanish, it'd be 520, French & Irish would also be 520. Does that make sense?

Right. So say it's French and Spanish, even with 470 you're not guaranteed?

Someone with 500 would be accepted first?

Same as any other course - the number given is the person with the lowest number of points to be accepted. Or, with an asterix, means that some people with those points got in, others didn't.
