Has anyone got parts off Traynors by meeting the truck at the Green Isle? How does payment etc work? Does the guy take cash in euro no problem?

I was on to them earlier to arrange for a few bits to be sent and I kept expecting her to ask for card details but then she just said itd be there at 2 on tues and went. I assumed COD, but only just got to thinking now does it have to be sterling or what?

Staff there arn't too well up on the conversiom rate.
    They quote sterling .
Both times i've got parts delivered you add €15 on to the price.
So if it comes to £80 bring 95 euro with you.

I got stuff delivered from them by courier. Maybe they want to meet you there to avoid the snow or risk getting lost in the suburbs.

Yes, cash, yes cash in euro no problem :)

Traynors offer a one of a kind service to us down here and it works very well. I've only had one experience with them when I picked up a side mirror for my BMW 7-series at the Green Isle and they charged me €75 iirc. The part was €300 new from BMW. Check out their website too - you can see which cars they have in stock, dismantled and all.

All seems a bit haphazards tbh, This is the relevant part of the email

WING £35 VAT, BUMPER 95 VAT HEADLAMP £57.50 VAT
    your part will cost £

I'm guessing the fact that VAt is just mentioned after each price means there is a + missing. The girl on the phone asked me what price i was quoted and I gave a rough guess at the total because I wasnt at my computer at the time. She didnt mention it again after that.

She was asking what I ordered. I had asked in the email for the parts in silver as they had a silver model listed as being broken. When I was talking to her she said she had nothing listed for 2nd hand so she assumed the parts I was beign quoted for were new.

This is even better. They are very casual about payment in the south so you have the chance to barter.
If i were you id add up the prices + 21% vat , then add 15 euro.
Better still ,add up the part prices forget about the vat and add 15 euro guareentee they will accept that as they are simply not gonna take the parts back with them .
Everything they take they get rid of trust me.
