    Hey Folks,

I'm gonna have some free time on my hands for the next week or so (waiting on my work visa so I can move to the US...trek!!) and between that and the snowy weather I'm bored out of my tree! So I'm trying to come up with some ideas to pass the time and I have a few rolls of film lying around, plus a lend of my brother's DSLR and a few lenses. Any suggestions for fun projects or shoots are more than welcome!

Well, snow is actually hard to shoot well.. and you're probably not likely to see your home area so snowy for quite some time.. so you might want to shoot that & share it.

Shoot a roll of film. Send it to me and I'll load it into my camera and re-shoot it.

    Double exposure goodness!!

Sounds like fun! How about I run some 200ISO through my vivitar UWS?

Sounds good to me. I think how it works is you gotta shoot it at 100 iso. That way when I shoot it again at 100 it should be enough light to give it a proper exposure!

ahh ok well in that case I'll shoot it with my konica as it's got a lightmeter and iso settings. I'll get on it tomorrow!

Ok ... I'm a n00b, and even though I've shot film a million times, I didn't know you could run it through again for fun like this! :D

Looking forward to your results if you lot go through with it.

Film, and interesting!? Didn't see that one coming.

You might find that there are lots of interesting things about film if you look into it.

I would if I was interested to begin with. I have shot film before, but it all seems so cumbersome. I'm not anti-film, it's where most of us over 20 began. But I like to 'develop' personally, and there's so much comes with film.

Tis a lot of effort alright. The shooting is the easy part :p Its the developing and scanning etc is the tedious part.

mostly what I'm shooting is abstract, like close ups of textures and colours, or patterns, etc etc. nothing too subject-y...if that makes sense...:pac:

there's a group on flickr which I remember checking out ages back, I can't believe I haven't tried something like this sooner!

other way around - if it's 200 ASA, exposing twice as if it was 400ASA does the trick - as it halves the exposure.

Ah good man! That makes way more sense :o

I think what your shooting along with portraits from me would make a nice contrast. Subject with non subjective.
