Retail Licence in Ireland

    Hi all,

I am doing up a business plan at the moment and I am looking at my expenditure and start up costs. I have a question in relation to retail licences in Ireland:
    1. How much is a retail licence for a business that has less than 10 people and it will only be 1 store?
    2. Can it be paid in monthly installments?
    Cheers

    E87

You don't need a retail licence, except for government controlled products like alcohol. What will you be selling?

Apologies I completely forgot about that old post. To be more specific without giving away too much, the content I will be providing will be age restricted so I am just wondering would that fall into retail licence?

I see.. what about video games? I dont plan to have a dedicated video game section but I will have some. Would they fall into the classification of having a licence? If so, any idea on the cost for one?
