Three mobile iphone deal - question

Hi i'm wondering if someone can help me. I'm thinking of getting an iphone 4. Now at the moment i'm on prepay with 02 - just an ordinary mobile phone but i'm thinking of changing to three cos they seem to have this deal where you get the iphone free if you switch to them (ie. new customer). i've been on their website and it says on the homepage about getting it free but when i click on the various links it still ends up being 139e to get the phone to begin with and then 40e a month thereafter (obv because it's bill pay)! So i am slightly confused as to how they can be advertising it as free when it says 139e???

Have i missed something or can someone explain this?

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum:o

It's free on the more expensive monthly packages, not the cheaper ones.

    It's from free.
If you choose the €80/month for 24 months plan, or the €95/month plan, then it's free.

Yes i'm just after realising that now! The every important word from!! Thanks guys!

Still 139e isn't bad really i suppose is it?

Would three be one of the better companies? I'm not really sure cos i've never been bill pay before

I find them fine, but others seem to have problems. Before buying and committing to 18/24 months, I'd suggest getting a pay as you go sim and using that in your existing phone for a week or so to see if you have a decent 3G connection in the areas you spend most time. I get a great 3G connection from them, but there is a hugh thread in this forum of people giving out about not having a good connection.

It says on the radio that it's free on the 40 euro plan if you trade in your old phone, get maximum trade in value for it, and sign a 24 month contract.

I signed a 18 month contract recently, I went for the 60 euro plan because the phone was €129 and I can drop to the €40 tarrif in six months. It was €229 if I initially went for the €40 tarrif, the way I done it I pay 20 quid more but get the more minutes etc. for six months

Yeah my friend was telling me that just there - but is this if you trade in your old iphone or just an ordinary phone? And does it matter if you're with another network?

They had a deal on where you could trade in a 3G or 3GS iPhone, but this new deal is for any phone I think. Needs to be a decent one I reckon to get the max trade in. And IIRC it's for new customers only

Ok i wouldnt exactly call mine decent! It was about 69e from O2 (a recent enough upgrade) but like it's just a basic phone. What's a 'decent' phone? And what's the max trade in? Sorry i haven't a clue about these things! I jsut want an iphone at a fairly good deal!

I honestly don't know what'd be a good enough phone to get the max trade in value. You'll also be tied down for 24 months that way

12 months is long enough, forget 18 or 24 months!
