Another 100 IDA jobs announced

.....for galway (almost as much as we've got in 14 years).

Time to write to the IDA and politicians demanding action.

I would be extremely angry if I were unemployed in Limerick given the total neglect of the area by this government.

I am unemployed and angry barely covers it. Just another unemployed science graduate.
Im not to sure about other industries but i think it is absolutely insane we do not have a biopharmaceutical plant in limerick. The amount of jobs for all skill levels one could create... Shame we were passed over continuously and weakly represented.

The I.T industry in limerick has also been destroyed, 14 years ago it was very buoyant.
The IDA have a lot to answer for. I've written to them and complained also to FF.
Hopefully Noonan will correct a few wrongs when FG/Lab get in

Jeez Liam in fairness you know as well as I do there have been far more than 100 IDA backed jobs created in Limerick in the last 14 years.

Again, I agree, it isn't near enough compared to the rest of the country,
but we've covered this topic already recently.

Tell me then, over the last 14 years how many IDA jobs limerick, cork and galway have got?

You will find cork and galway are close to 10,000 while limerick is under 1,000. (Waterford is another region that has done badly, but far better than limerick)

In fairness to K O Donnell, (limerick leader page 2) he is holding barry o leary (IDA chief executive) to account in the oireachtas on tuesday.

I don't like seeing hard working business people in the city and county lose their businesses because of ineptitude of our government and IDA/S development.

You are getting far far too upset on a matter we are both agreeing on.
I never said 'only' a 100 jobs. What I said was, we haven't got much more than a 100, but again don't take that literally as in 103 or 104 jobs. I know it's more than that, but it is less than 100 per year between the city and county, and most limerick people apart from willie o dea will tell you that is f*** all.
